Greetings Friends,
My Name is Lynn Parkhurst , Exalted Ruler of Lakewood Elks 1432 . Marshall White is my Co-Chair for our Special Needs Children Committee and Youth Programs. There is much to Reflect on this past year. I am proud to say we were able to help our community after Hurricane Sandy by providing food, clothing and toiletries.
The lodge held two fundraisers for families with debilitating illnesses . A third fundraiser was for a family that lost their two daughters in a car accident.
Throughout the year we provided dinners , sponsor youth athletic teams, a Boy Scout troop and hold holiday parties for areas youth.
We help our Vetreans by providing clothing, dinners, holiday food baskets etc.
Special Needs Children are providing with camper ships which gives them a week to experience fun away with peers .Each child has their own personal counselor which assures their safety .This week at sleep away camp allows the Children an opportunity to participate in activities that would never enjoy otherwise .This is why Elks Camp Moore is called “The Miracle On The Mountain “.
We will hold a Special Needs Charity Auction January 26th and a Charity Ball February 9 th .These annual events make it possible for us to serve our community and surrounding areas.
Here’s how you can help us.We are in need of gifts ,baskets ,gift cards and monetary donations .Together we can make things happen!
Thank you in your advance for your continued support !!
Many of our friends were devastated by Hurricane Sandy that normally contribute to our special Children’s Charity Auction .We feel at this time it is important to us to continue of our special friends.
